Post-Doc in Personnel Economics/Economics of Education

The chair for Business and Personnel Economics at the University of Zurich together with the Swiss Leading House "Economics of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET Economics)" are offering two post-doc positions for research topics related to the economics of vocational education for a period of initially two years, starting immediately or by agreement. The chair is part of the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Zurich, one of the leading research and teaching institutions in the German-speaking world.

 

Your tasks:

You conduct empirical projects on personnel economics and economics of education, collaborate with other researchers, and contribute to teaching and infrastructure tasks of our group. The position is strongly research oriented and you are invited to develop your own research area within the research orientation of the Chair/Leading House. You are expected to strive for excellent research performance, including publications in high quality international journals. You will have access to an excellent national and international network and work in a young, dynamic team that supports each other in terms of projects (with other post-docs, PhD students and assistant professors).

 

Your qualifications and interests:

  • Successful completion of PhD degree in business, economics, or related fields
  • First publications in the field of personnel economics/economics of education
  • In-depth knowledge of econometric methods
  • Commitment, ability to work in a team, willingness to take responsibility
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English; willingness to learn German
