Prof. Uschi Backes-Gellner at Science & Career Talks at the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen
As part of the Science & Career Talks, Prof. Uschi Backes-Gellner was a guest at the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen on July 2 and 3, 2025.

In her lecture “Explaining as well as countering gendered occupational choices and why they matter: Empirical evidence on labor market and innovation outcome”, she presented the empirical research results of the Swiss Leading House VPET-ECON on the topics of gender norms, occupational choice behavior and innovation performance. The focus was on the question of how gender-specific career choices arise and what effects this has on women in the labor market and on innovation performance.
In the workshop "Lunch & Learn: Women in scientific careers" Prof. Uschi Backes-Gellner offered inspiring and practical approaches for more equal opportunities for women in scientific careers.
