Call for Papers

Program
The Swiss Leading House VPET-ECON organizes its third international conference on the economics of vocational and professional education and training (VPET) and invites young and experienced researchers alike to present their research at the conference (presentations and poster sessions). 


Topics 
Topics of interest include but are not limited to: (vocational) educational reforms and labor market outcomes; characteristics of training programs and labor market outcomes; economic shocks and apprenticeships; training and firm level productivity; human capital and innovation; generative AI, automation, digitalization and labor market effects; interplay of cognitive and non-cognitive skills; returns to different types of education; skills formation across the life-span; social background and educational choices; cost-benefit analyses of apprenticeship training.


Submission of Papers
Researchers interested in presenting at the conference are invited to submit a full paper by email to vetconference@business.uzh.ch until February 28, 2026. Please submit your full paper in the following format:

  1. Submission-email including last name, first name, email address of corresponding and presenting author
  2. Attachment with pdf document entitled: „LastName_FirstName_ShortTitle“. 

Authors will be informed of their acceptance by the end of March 2026.
