Assistant Professor

Background:

Katarina joined the Leading House in November 2022 as an Assistant Professor in Personnel Economics. Before joining the University of Zurich, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the International Center for Higher Education Research at the University of Kassel and the Chair of Empirical Social Research at the University of Konstanz, both in Germany. During her postdoctoral period, she visited Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia working with leading researchers of the Meta-Analysis of Economics Research Network (MAER-Net).

At the Leading House, her research focuses on on-the-job training and adult skills outcomes. In particular, she studies the impact of educational and labor policies on them. Her empirical work relies on survey and observational data, employing methods of causal inference, microeconometrics, and meta-regression analysis.
