Although a positive relationship clearly exists between schooling and wages, the question of whether education affects different individuals differently is much less analyzed. For example, an additional year of education could have a very different effect at the lower end of the wage distribution than at the upper end. Thus, to fill this gap, we will estimate the returns to education over the entire wage distribution. We also plan to investigate whether there is heterogeneity between and within educational paths, comparing the returns to academic education with the returns to vocational education over the wage distribution.
