As the innovative capability of innovation systems results from the involvement of various knowledge sources, this project focuses on the Swiss vocational education and training system as one knowledge source, which may constitute an institutionalized competitive advantage for companies residing in Switzerland. As domestic firms may utilize vocational qualifications more easily, we also focus on the identification of differences between successful innovation systems of domestic and foreign firms.
