Project Technological adaptation

Education and technological adaptation in the firm

(Ausbildung und technologische Adaption im Betrieb)

In times of fast-paced technological change, the fast adaptation of new technologies is at least as important for the competitiveness and total factor productivity of single companies and the whole economy as new innovations themselves. One potential instrument to stimulate the adaptation of new technologies is the regular modernization of vocational education and training (VET) curricula. The goal of this project is to examine if and how changes in VET curricula can help fostering the adaptation of new technologies. In addition the project aims at investigating the effects of changes in training curricula on the economic success of training (and non-training) companies.
