Project Knowledge acquisition

Firms' knowledge acquisition during dual-track VET

(Innovationsinterdependenzen von Ausbildungsorganisation und Ausbildungsstrategie)

Various studies have shown that innovations are key for company competitiveness. In this project we analyze the innovative capability of innovation systems that results from the involvement of various knowledge sources. In Switzerland one source of knowledge in addition to tertiary academic education is provided by vocational education and training. When participating in VET training, Swiss companies are bound to occupational curricula but they are at the same time flexible in choosing their training methods and training strategies. The aim of this project is to analyze, which training methods companies use and how this correlates with innovations.
