13th Leading House Lecture on Economics of Education held by Prof. David Marsden on „Teachers' reactions to performance pay in England and Wales"

We are very happy to announce the 13th Leading House Lecture on Economics of Education on "Teachers' reactions to performance pay in England and Wales 2014-2015 " given by Prof. David Marsden, London School of Economics (LSE).

The lecture will be held at the University of Zurich, Plattenstrasse 14, Room: PLM 103/104 on 26 April 2016, 12:00-13:00

David Marsden is Professor of Industrial Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is in the Management Department and the Centre for Economic Performance. He has worked as an adviser to the European Commission, the OECD and the World Bank. He is member of the Governing Council of the Institut für Arbeitsrecht und Arbeitsbeziehungen in der Europäischen Union (IAAEU) and currently an editor of the British Journal of Industrial Relations, and a former editor of Industrielle Beziehungen, Travail et Emploi, and the Socio-Economic Review. He holds a PhD in economics from the Aix-Marseille University. David Marsdens’ academic research has focused on the development of international comparisons of HR practices, theory of the employment relationship, performance management, comparative industrial relations and human resource management. His research is published in the British Journal of Industrial Relations, Socio-Economic Review, Industrial Relations, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, and other journals. He has also published well-received books such as “The End of Economic Man?: Custom and Competition in Labor Markets”, (1986), “A Theory of Employment Systems: micro-foundations of societal diversity” (1999), and edited volumes.
