Curdin Pfister has successfully defended his dissertation titled “Different Educational Structures and their Economic Impact on Individuals and the Economy”. In his dissertation he particularly investigated the effect of the introduction of Universities of Applied Sciences on Innovation. He shows that tertiary vocational education and applied research substantially increases patenting quantity and quality.
