Series of conferences and closed-door meetings on issues of Swiss educational policy

The Jacobs Foundation Zurich and the Swiss Coordination Center for Research in Education signed in cooperation with the Leading House on Economics of Education, the Chair for Business and Personnel Economics of the University of Zurich and the Centre for Research in Economics of Education of the University of Bern an agreement to launch a new series of conferences and closed-door meetings.

Two international scientific conferences will be organized at the Jacobs Foundation's conference center at Marbach Castle (Lake Constance) between 2013 and 2015.

Furthermore, three closed-door meetings will be held in Zurich. During these meetings high-ranking representatives of educational policy and administration and international researchers will discuss current and highly relevant issues for Swiss educational policy.

The first closed-door meeting in May 2013 will address the issue "university drop-outs". The scientific conference in September 2013 will address the issues "optimal educational mix – educational systems in international comparison".
