From June 15^th to June 17^th, 2022, the Swiss Leading House VPET-ECON organized its First International Conference on the Economics of Vocational Education and Training (VET). The conference took place in the historical buildings of University of Zurich’s main campus.

We welcomed researchers from 27 universities and research institutes from 10 countries and 4 continents. They all presented their work in the field of VET Economics. As keynote speakers, we were happy to have Prof. Eric Bettinger (Stanford University), Prof. Sandra McNally (CVER-London School of Economics & University of Surrey) & Prof. Bernd Fitzenberger (Institute for Employment Research, IAB).

We look back to a lively conference with fruitful discussions and insights to VET Economics from around the world. We thank all participants for their contributions and are looking forward to the “Second International Conference on VET Economics” in 2024 in Zurich.
