The lecture will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, 12:00 – 13:00 at University of Zurich, Plattenstrasse 14, Room PLM 103/104.

“Women on Corporate Boards”

The under-representation of women on corporate boards is a heavily discussed topic, and there is considerable debate concerning the implications of an increasing number of women on corporate boards. In her talk, Prof. Dr. Kerstin Pull, Inge Strauch Guest Professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics and Senior Research Fellow at Collegium Helveticum, provides an overview of her work in the field. Among others, her talk will address the following questions: Is there a business case for female board representation? What are the mechanisms that link female board representation and firm performance, and what are boundary conditions? How does female board representation affect employer attractiveness? Does the link depend on women directors’ function on the board? And: What explains the gender pay gap at board level? What role does women directors’ function play?
