Prof. Backes-Gellner presented a joint project with Christian Eggenberger and Miriam Rinawi on measuring occupational specificity and its labor market outcomes at University of Tübingen on May 18^th, 2017. One of the main finding is that specificity increases wages, but it is a double edged sword because it may reduce occupational mobility.
